No single grape variety is as divers as Pinot Noir. There are more than 1000 different clones and Pinot Noir is extremely sensitive for climate, soil and the winemaker’s hand.
Fifty Shades of Pinot Noir is a great opportunity to experience the enormous diversity of Pinot Noir.
From 11.00 to 12.30 hour Meike Näkel of leading Ahr wine producer Meyer-Näkel and Mark Haisma, the wine world’s favourite micro-négociant in Burgundy will share with you their secrets of taming this variety every vintage. How did they make refined, elegant wines in 2018, the hottest vintage on record?
After a Rijks-lunch (of course with Pinot) you can taste 50 different Pinot Noirs from all over the world: Burgundy, Ahr, Baden, Hemel en Aarde vallei, Elgin, Oregon, Central Otago.
